LGBTQ+ FAMILIES

About

A session delivered by some of our experts within the parenting sector – sharing lived experiences as parents. The focus will be on being a LGBTQ+ parent and parents of LGBTQ+ children and how parents can support LGBTQ+ and gender diverse children.

The discussion will also delve into how workplaces can be inclusive to such forms of parenting in a largely heteronormative world.

The family structure as we traditionally know has evolved. We now have various kinds of family and it keeps evolving, and as we know, all are equally valid. In this changing landscape, how prepared are we to hear these stories and are we inclusive  are we of all types of families?

Do organisations have a culture of belonging and what are the policies that have been put in place to manage any discrimination or exclusion.
