Arin Smethurst

Actor | Musician | LGBTQIA+ Advocate (They/Them)

Who am I

Arin is an actor, musician and LGBTQIA+ advocate.

They attended drama school at Rose Bruford College, then promptly spent 2 years in BBC's Casualty as Sah Brockner, the show's first recurring transgender and non-binary character, and were nominated for an NTA during their time there.

They have hosted at Pride Cymru in Cardiff twice running, and will be hosting again in 2024.

Their speaking style is open and understanding, creating a space for questions to be asked without judgement, and offering insight into their lived experience as a trans person in the TV industry and the public eye, as well as their own experience of socially and medically transitioning.

They provide an engaging experience that blends storytelling, advocacy and education.
